We LOVE our Nigerian Dwarf goats! We have raised several other breeds but the Nigerians are here to stay for sure!!! The Nigerian Dwarf dairy goat is a miniature dairy goat of West African origin. Nigerian Dwarf goats are enjoying a rise in popularity due to their small size, colorful markings and dairy characteristics. Their small stature means they do not require as much space or feed as their larger dairy goat counterparts and their gentle and friendly personalities make them good companion pets. The milk is also the highest in butterfat (making it the best choice for cheese and soap making) but it tastes just like cow's milk. Nigerian dwarf goats are easy to handle; even for small children. GO NIGERIANS!!! It is really hard to find something to dislike in them.
Tex Pine Shadows Tina's Gina ( AKA "Citrine" ) DOB: 2-03-11 Buckskin With Extensive White Overlay Gina was my first doe that I purchased in milk. She is my absolute favorite doe. Her udder is butter soft and she stands perfectly on the milk stand. She is such a sweetheart.

The Short and Fat Farm Garnet DOB: 1-1-11 Born in a set of triplets, 2 bucks/ 1 doe Roan; White Stripe; Frosted Ears & Muzzle
Garnet is a easy going doe and just goes with the flow. She is more on the shy side but does excellent on the milk stand. Just stands still and eats away. Her FF udder is small, but I'm super pleased with her teat size. I think her udder will improve in the future. Draggin Acres Topaz- Blue Eyes DOB: 1-31-13 Born in a set of twins, 1 buck/ 1 doe. Black and Brown Topaz is my first Nigerian that we purchased, she is my baby and is well known in our area because I took her to several stores and Farmer's Markets. I had her disbudded but unfortunately the horns grew back. Even though she is not registered she is showing great prospects for the milk pail. I can not wait till she freshens to see what she has in store!
